Hello I am Andy Atencio and welcome to Uniquely Me. Although this title might imply it is about the author it is actually meant to be read as being about you. This blog is focused on helping people, just like you, work and live together better. My belief is that we are all here for a unique purpose and through a better understanding of ourselves we can find and use this purpose for not only our own benefit but for the benefit of others as well.
I use this blog to share information about the various topics I focus on with Personality @ltitude including topics such as team dynamics, leadership, communication, organizational change, and career development for organizations and individuals. I will share information about a number of psychological assessments and tools that are used to help individuals find their unique purpose and also help organizations leverage the uniqueness in the greatest resource, people.
Currently I hold a day job as the Chief Technology Officer for a local government municipality that is a suburb of Denver, Colorado. In addition, I have founded a personal/organizational coaching practice called Personality @lititude.
My intent is to create insightful, relevant content, which will help you on the journey of finding the uniqueness that you have and how to use that to improve all aspects of your life. If you are searching for some guidance in finding your passion and putting that to work for you with purpose then this blog is a resource you need to keep visiting.
Very Little About Me
So just a few short words about me. As I said I am Andy Atencio. I currently work as a Chief Technology Officer for a local government located in the Denver, Colorado metro area. I have been an organizational leader at both private and public sector organizations for about 20 years leading teams from two to as many as 14.
From an education perspective I hold a Bachelor’s in Information Technology and a Master’s in Psychology with a focus on organizational behavior. I am always told that is an interesting combination. I am a certified practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Instrument, the Strong Interest Inventory and the Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation assessment instruments.
I have spoken locally and nationally on topics of communication, team dynamics, leadership and service management. Most recently I have been working with individuals in coaching them to find their passion and educating organizations on how to leverage those passions.
I am married to an amazing and supportive wife (Kim) and have two kids, older son Ian and younger daughter Liberty, both of which play ice hockey. We also have two dogs and a tortoise who share various parts of our house. In my free time, such that it is, I enjoy spending time with my family, as well as, playing racquetball, camping, hiking, reading and writing.
